Description

Game Name?

King Arthur

Game ID?

GKHEA4

MD5 Hash?

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

The animation for collecting the secret XP upgrades throughout the game causes Dolphin to bring up a panic handler about an unknown opcode. Pressing "OK" through the two windows or disabling panic handlers allows the game to work afterwards.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start new game, choose a character, and watch unskippable intro video
  2. In the first stage, walk to the right until you reach a little inlet to the river
  3. Continue walking right into the river until you see a scroll just a bit to the bottom right, and collect it
  4. See unknown opcode error

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

This bug has existed since 4.0 builds. The only change in behavior since then that I'm aware of is that you used to get an error every frame of the animation, and after 4.0-5858 this was reduced down to a single error after which gameplay resumes.

What are your PC specifications?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3GHz, Windows 10

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Does this happen in single core?

Actually, upon looking at this again it's probably the same unknown opcode as Mario Party 5. Accepting.

It does happen with single core as well, I just tried it.

  • Status changed from Accepted to Fixed

We've found this opcode does not crash console with Mario Party 5, and have disabled the popup for it.

This is fixed.
