Description

Game Name?

[Doubutsu no Mori e plus]

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

[GAEJ01]

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

[Put MD5 Hash here]

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

[well you see the wiki page here https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Doubutsu_no_Mori_e%2B does not say anything about Dolphin emulator not supporting being able to support the official
"sd card adapter/Nintendo Secure Digital Memory Card Adapter" witch means anyone trying to take a in game screen shots or transferring your save data from the memory card to a SD card is not possible like you could on real hardware, and I think that should be acknowledged in the wiki.]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[well pressing Z with the sd card in slot B lets you take a screen shot.]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[yeah all them]

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

[yeah all them]

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[PC specs here]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[Anything else here]

Apparently the SD card adapter directly connects the EXI pins to the SD card so this probably would be pretty easy to implement.

I'd love to see this implemented, personally.

Pokémon Channel also supports it (mentioned here and here), as does the Homebrew Channel and Action Replay (as SD Media Launcher). (I've added that information to the wiki already).

I've ordered a copy of Pokémon Channel and am currently experimenting with implementing this, but I don't know how far I'll get.

Has it been added now? I would love to play this game on Dolphin

I have a basic implementation at https://github.com/pokechu22/dolphin/tree/sd-gecko, but haven't actually tested it with Doubutsu no Mori e+, only Pokemon Channel.

Note that you can already use the vast majority of the functionality in Doubutsu no Mori e+; it's just the save transfer functionality and the screenshot functionality that aren't available (and both of those can be approximated using regular Dolphin features (copying the memcard data in a GCI folder and using the screenshot button)).

I think that this could help with homebrew development on the gamecube that require an SD card.
ID like to see a setting to go from the official SD Card read speeds of 16MHz to 3rd party 32MHz read speeds ones this does get released in to Dolphin, and id be neat for this to have a netplay sync setting to to play your gamecube homebrews that require an SD card adapter with friends.
