aura of beam sword item is black instead of blue

Game: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (USA) (v1.01)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start training match and create a beam sword item from the menu. (Any
other beam sword in the game is also affected).
The beam sword makes Wario's head look black.
In the final destination map, the beam sword also affects the background.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected blue-ish aura of laser-sword, but get black aura.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Self-compiled from SVN 4735

Any fixes for this yet? I'm using R5728 and it's still happening.

More screenshots for analysis. These are of the trophy. An interesting find: In some lightings, the black rectangle seems to disappear in varying amounts. I am using R5786 and the DirectX11 plugin.

Why are GameIssues marked as closed? Can they be open? I would think fixing this issue would fix issues across other games.
