Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. View the main screen of SSBB.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of appearing normally, the two black bars which overlay the screen twitch and appear on and off very rapidly (every half-secondish).

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?
R5728, Windows 7 x64. Had problem with stable release (2.0) as well.

Attached are the two stages it twitches between.

Do you use DX11, DX9, OpenGL or Software Rendering?
I can't confirm this with DX11. Looks perfect.

I use DX9. These are my plugin settings for DX9:

Vsync
AR: Auto
4x SSAA
EFB Scale: Auto (Fractional)
Enable CPU->EFB Access

Everything on Enhancements is checked.

EFB Copy to Texture.
Use Native Mips.

HOWEVER: In DirectX11 -- the problem is gone.

In OpenGL, this doesn't happen.

Nevermind, restarted emulator and it came back.

By it came back - I mean the problem resurfaced. It didn't correct itself.

... your comments are quite confusing.

So which plugins show this bug and which don't?

Actions #7

More specifically:

OpenGL - 100% works
DX 11 - Sometimes works
DX 9 - Never works
Software - Untested

This works completely fine in DX9 (r5930) using several different configurations.

So uh, was this issue actually valid and if yes, is it fixed in r6327 for DX9/DX11?

This was a real issue, but it stopped happening a while ago.

  • Status changed from New to Fixed

Fair enough then.
