Description

  1. Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
    "RSBE01", etc):

GUNBLADE NY & L.A. MACHINEGUNS - SQDE8P

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Both games have issues with displaying 2D graphics in game such as the HUD counters and certain menu graphics.

Problem occurs in both games.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.

I'm not sure, I haven't tested other revisions as I just recently bought the game.

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.) Load up the collection and get to the game selection screen
2.) Select a game (for this example - choose Gunblade NY) and wait for the game to load.
3.) When it loads, you'll see a glowing NY graphic and nothing else. What should appear is the title screen along with the NY graphic.
4.) After waiting a bit, press the A button to go into the mode selection menu. The graphics that overlay the models within the Easy/Hard mode boxes, the text in the Score Attack Remix bar below, and the PRESS THE A BUTTON graphic on the top right corner are missing.
5.) Select a mode and wait for the game to load up the stage. Once gameplay begins, you'll notice that there's no HUD (Health counter, timer, and blinking PRESS THE A BUTTON).

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.

Dolphin 3.5 release (12/24/2012) x64 - "Dolphin 3.5"

Hardware:
CPU - Intel i5 2500k
GPU - Galaxy NVIDIA GeForce 680 GTX (310.90)
OS - Windows 7 Premium SP1 x64

6) Please provide any additional information below.
Gameplay works fine otherwise. There might be some other graphic defects with the in game models, but it's difficult to tell because the game is pretty fast paced. I tried using the DX9, DX11, and OpenGL plugins. I unticked "Skip EFB Access from CPU" and "Ignore Format Changes", no change. Changed EFB Copies from Texture to RAM, no change. Enabled the Framebuffer (only tested Real), no change. Changed the internal resolution to 1x Native from 4x, no change. Disabled "Scaled EFB Copy" and "Force Texture Filtering", no change.

7) Attachments. IMPORTANT! We have a limited storage quota on
GoogleCode, so please use a 3rd party host for screenshots or any other
files (http://min.us/ for example).

I can't get screenshots of what the game is supposed to look like elsewhere, but you can watch a video of someone playing the game on an actual Wii on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1_rfKNG6Q0). Here are some screenshots of the places where there are problems:

http://i.imgur.com/F8Xu0.png (Mode Select - compare with 2:24 in video)
http://i.imgur.com/89VXa.jpg (In game - compare with 2:39 in video. It's a different level/mode, but you'll get the idea)

Hope this helps. Let me know if there's anything else you need like logs and stuff.

Here's a FIFO recording. I only did one frame where the problem was occuring. I did the title screen, mode select, and in game from Gunblade.

I do not experience any of the mentioned issues playing the FIFO logs with OpenGL or Software Renderer in 3.5 or rd0ea94a2aaa1909a4b53b158a4a8250ee7578ae4 (latest master).

Do the FIFO logs play correctly for you, ixtsptf?

Yeah, they do. I'm using the latest master build right now (3.5-412).

The graphics show correctly while playing the FIFO logs under OpenGL/Software but not normally.

Works with "safe" texture cache.

Wait, why is this invalid. Don't we still need to revise the ini setting to force safe texture cache for this title?
