Description

Have you searched the issue tracker for a similar issue? Yes, I can't find any occurrence of this anywhere.

Game Name? Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Justice For All, and Trials and Tribulations. All 3 games on WiiWare

Game ID? Ace Attorney: WGSE08

What went wrong? Jailbars on screen every time on the Examine/Move/Talk screen - in all three games. http://i.imgur.com/jtAkgaQ.jpg

What did you expect to happen? No jailbars on those screens - like this screenshot I found on google images: http://imgur.com/kTkrDLa

What steps will reproduce the problem? Playing the game until you reach this screen. Case 1 of each game doesn't have an investigation mode, so a save file would be needed to advance if you don't want to play through it normally.

What version of Dolphin were you using?
Last tested on Dolphin 2.5-1107, Branch: master. However, I haven't been able to get it to work without jailbars on any previous version.

64 or 32 bit Dolphin?
x86, but I've tried both.

What version of Dolphin used to work?
None, as far as I can tell.

What Operating System were you using and what are your hardware
specifications?
Tried on two computers.

Windows XP 64-bit
4GB ram
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
ATI HD Radeon 4890

Windows 7 64-bit
4GB ram
AMD Phenom II X4 B50
ATI HD Radeon 5770

64 or 32 bit Operating system?
Both 64 bit.

Any other relevant information or links to logs:
I've mixed-and-matched all the different graphical settings/hacks I can think of and the only option that effects the jailbars at all is "Ignore Format Changes" - when checked, the entire background is black, to where only the Examine/Move/Talk/etc buttons are visible. http://i.imgur.com/2bDNNnT.png

When using OpenGL, the background is black by default, since Ignore Format Changes isn't an option. There's no information of interest in the log.

Okay, this is a well-filled-out issue, but it's kinda silly to have made it a third time... Well, whatever, the other two can just be marked as duplicates.

Can you see if either the software renderer or the tev_fixes branch affect/fix this? http://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/tev_fixes/

Dolphin 3.5-545 on the tev_fixes branch has no effect. Is there a speedy way to test the software renderer? It won't load my save state.

Create a 2 frame fifo log of the issue for us.

I can confirm that this is an issue. Seems to be related to the window size; perhaps related to the Loading lines in Super Mario Sunshine/glitched shadows in Sonic Heroes.

Also can confirm this is in OpenGL as well; since Ignore Format changes was implemented.

Does not happen in software renderer.

This has been fixed. It was some alpha transparency RGBA6 vs RGBA8 differences.
