Description

-Game Name?-

Phantasy Star Online Ep. I & II (Plus as well)

-Game ID?-

GPOE8P

-Have you searched the issue tracker for a similar issue?-

Yes.

-What went wrong?-

In Direct3D11 graphics backend, a giant white block covers most of the screen (Windowed or Full). The game starts and loads like this as well, but I figured the above image would have a good impact. I have tested it under my custom settings and original Dolphin settings. Direct3D9 works just fine, OpenGL has nothing when I start it (OpenGL is probably my end).

-What did you expect to happen?-

That the game should not start with a gigantic white block which covers most of the screen making game play near impossible.

-What steps will reproduce the problem?-

  1. Set graphics backend to Direct3D11.
  2. Start game.

-What version of Dolphin were you using?-

3.5-1256 x64

-What version of Dolphin used to work?-

3.5-1256, only happens in Direct3D11 backend.

-What Operating System were you using and what are your hardware
specifications?-

*Intel I5 2500K @ 3.3
*MSI Z68MA-G45 (B3)
*8-Gig Ram (DDR3-1600 Corsair)
*Gigabyte GTX 660
*Windows 7 x64.

-Any other relevant information or links to logs-
Nope.

OpenGL not displaying is on your end. It's working perfectly here in 3.5-1264 x64. However, I can confirm the issue does exist with Direct3D 11.

I can confirm DX3D11 and 9 do not emulate this game properly only openGL does. but with that plus version does not work at all beyond the initial loading screen tried just about every setting i can think of

This also occurs on Episode III. OpenGL works fine, the other two don't. It wasn't always this way...

OpenGL works fine, I didn't notice that the issue was saying both had the issue.

BTW, using Shift + W once with freelook enabled fixes everything. It works kind of like a makeshift projection hack, I think? D3D's camera position seems to be too far back, and this fixes it.

the D3d backend doesn't postion the camera wronge it just renders the white box in the middle of the screen as if everything inside those coordinates weren't to be rendered. or that there being "censored" out by the backend. using shift+w with free look in removes this box but then some menus and screens are unusable when zoomed in.S
