Description

Game Name?
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness

Game ID?
GXXE01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
When sending out a Pokémon in a double battle, garbage text sometimes appears. It appears to be on Fast texture cache only.

What did you expect to happen instead?
The Pokémon's names to be displayed correctly during the presentation phase.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. After pressing Start, move to "VS Mode"
  2. Choose "Quick Battle" -> "Battle VS CPU"
  3. In the example I have in the fifolog, I chose Ultimate difficulty and entered and exited until I got the team that consisted of Deoxys and Blissey

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

4.0-5256

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?

I haven't tested with older versions, but I haven't observed this bug in older revisions.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)

Windows 7 x64
Intel i7 4770
nVidia GTX 760 (Gigabyte)

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

It also occurred on Deoxys' text rendering, but for some reason the issue wasn't reflected in the fifo recording. I was playing at 30 FPS just in case the flashing was too fast.

Originally, I was going to submit an issue regarding broken shadows for Pokémon and Trainers during Double Battles. But then, this happened. Should I submit a new issue report for that or is it already known?

Pokemon xd needs safe texture cache set to safe and has it in it's gameini. Don't override the defaults and file issues about things not working.

Oh crap. Sorry.

What should I do about those shadow issues? Should I submit a new issue report?
And the gamini's I've edited. How do I restore them back to their default states?

And most importantly, this issue report. Should I just delete it?
